Hydraulic motor-driven foam pumps are primarily used on fire truck apparatus and emergency response equipment. They are mounted on a predrilled, anodized aluminum bracket and ready to mount the associated hydraulic motor. The clear advantage of this pump assembly is the variable-speed motor, which adjusts to changes in foam concentrate demand.

Gear-type positive displacement pumps are used for pumping foam concentrate (AFFF, AR-AFFF, FP, FFFP, High Ex, SFFF, etc.). They are the only type that works effectively in foam systems. Foam concentrate pumps are integral to fire suppression systems for many applications, including—but not limited to—the petroleum, oil and gas (POG), aircraft hangars, emergency response, and specialty chemical storage industries.
