The Foam Pumping System is a fully assembled foam concentrate skid that includes the UL/FM foam pump package, suction and discharge piping, suction strainer, pressure sustaining or pressure balancing valve, all-inclusive valves and fittings, and a magnetic flow meter to allow for proper testing per NFPA 20 requirements. With the provided piping, these skid systems take into account NPSHa considerations that must be reviewed when designing foam pump systems. This package is best if produced by an FM-approved packager or pump manufacturer, as they have all the knowledge, experience and resources for skid design and fabrication.

Gear-type positive displacement pumps are used for pumping foam concentrate (AFFF, AR-AFFF, FP, FFFP, High Ex, SFFF, etc.). These pumps are the only type that works effectively in foam systems. Foam concentrate pumps are integral to fire suppression systems for many applications, including but not limited to the petroleum, oil and gas (POG), aircraft hangars, emergency response, and specialty chemical storage industries.
